Welcome to Special Olympics Hamilton County
Special Olympics Hamilton County is a not-for-profit organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in more than 20 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through SOHC, athletes gain opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, Special Olympics athletes, and the community. It’s a movement that impacts lives and is solely run by volunteers relying on corporate, civic, and individual donations.
OUR MISSION
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our programs offer continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, social inclusion, skill sets, and friendship, within their teams and the community.
OUR VISION
To empower people with intellectual disabilities to realize their full potential and develop their skills through year-round sports training and competition. As a result, Special Olympics athletes become fulfilled and productive members of their families and Hamilton County communities. Special Olympics is an experience that is energizing, healthy, skillful, welcoming, and joyful.
OUR GOAL
